Trains and trams now run that bit later on Friday and Saturday nights so you can even stay later and still PT it home! Last trains depart Flinders Street between 1-1.15am and last trams now leave the city between 1-1.45am.

NightRider

On Friday and Saturday nights it doesn't matter what time the gig finishes because NightRider will be there to take you home.

Operating between 12.30am and 4.30am on Saturday and Sunday mornings, NightRider buses depart the city regularly just 200 metres up the road, from Swanston St (between Collins and Flinders streets) stop along nine major routes to Bayswater/Belgrave, Craigieburn, Croydon, Dandenong, Eltham, Epping, Frankston/Mornington, St Albans/Melton and Werribee.

Metcard, your ticket to ride

When you're packing your ticket to the gig, don't forget your Metcard, otherwise you risk an expensive fine.

Plan ahead and purchase your ticket in advance. Pick one up from Premium Train Stations, the MetShop, from retail outlets displaying the blue Metcard sign or online at metlinkmelbourne.com.au. Online Metcard purchases include free delivery in two business days. How easy is that?
